Laverne Zabielski is a poet, writer, teacher, fiber artist, and lover of the layered life.  She has an MFA in creative non-fiction from Spaulding University in Louisville Kentucky and has taught at the college level.  Laverne studied fiber art with Arturo Alonzo Sandoval at the University of Kentucky and has been featured in many exhibitions.  She is always willing to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for creativity and self expression in various settings.  Her memoir, "The Garden Girls' Letters and Journal" was published by Wind Publications in early 2006.  She is currently designing and producing Shibori dyed silk shawls, scarves, and garments which are currently exhibited and offered for sale in numerous locations in the USA.
